After the events of the autumn/winter season – Halloween, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas, Boxing Day and the New Year – it’s nice to have a bit of a break.
January is a good season to travel if you are looking to go on holiday, because it’s good to get away from the cold and chilly air, plus there are a lot of deals and sales offered by airlines and holiday companies.
Here are our top five places to go to on holiday in January – and my winter sun bucket list!

3. Maldives
The Maldives is a tropical island located in the Indian Ocean. It is known for its beautiful beaches, blue lagoons, coral reefs and awe-inspiring views that simply take your breath away. The capital, Male, has a thriving fish market and various restaurants and shops so that you can indulge in local cuisine.
4. Grenada
If you are looking to visit the Caribbean, then Grenada should be on your list. The nation is full of gorgeous sandy beaches and for the avid traveller, there are no resorts so you can fully immerse yourself in Grenada’s vibrant culture.
